A New Try!

I’m planning to fix for dinner, crock-pot chicken and cheesy broccoli cornbread. I made the
cornbread several years ago and remember that it was delicious, so hope the recipe that I use today will produce the same tasty and moist dish.

For the past few weeks, I have been working around the house and yard. I’ve been accomplishing lots of work in the garage and shed, by getting rid of stuffs and rearranging storage areas. Hopefully, this will allow for more space to move around and area for working.

Another big HAPPY accomplishment is finishing a quilt that I started a few years ago. The lap/wall size quilt is very colorful so the name COLOR-SPLASH!

Now looking forward to finishing a couple others, such as the 12-block House quilt that I started in 2005. The outer border and binding is all that remains and once I set up to do free motion quilting (FMQ) it won’t be long that that quilt should be done. The other quilt is a quilt top that my great grandma Marietta from Ohio made many years ago. I just recently found this top in my mother’s cedar chest and want to sandwich it together so I can hand quilt it.

returning soon to write more of my thoughts…
